An Argentinian newspaper has filed a formal complaint against a Body Guard with the Dutch royal family. The complaint alleges rough treatment by a member of the Dutch royal family’s Body guard protective detail during a visit by the royal couple to a local clinic in Argentina. The entire scene was captured on video and can be viewed here.
I watched the video and personally I am surprised the photographer was not arrested for assaulting the Body Guard. At least from what the video depicted, the Body Guard was not particularly aggressive even when the photographer very clearly was attempting to provoke the Body Guard into a physical confrontation. In fact, the photographer appeared to escalate the situation once the photo op was over. As an aside, the article states that the photographer was on a public street but if you look at the video she left the sidewalk and entered the driveway to the clinic repeatedly. I don’t know what the laws are in Argentina but in the U.S. she would be considered a trespasser at the point.
